Many people want to become mutual fund distributors but do not know where to begin. Common questions include:

To register for the NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets) Series V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Examination, you must complete a one-time registration on the official website  https://certifications.nism.ac.in

1. Prepare Your Documents

Before starting, ensure you have scanned copies (JPEG/PNG format, under 1MB each) of the following:

  • PAN Card: Mandatory for identity verification.
  • Photograph: Recent passport-size photo with a white background.
  • Address Proof: Aadhaar card, driving license, voter ID, or utility bill.
  • Details: Your educational qualifications and employment history.

2. One-Time Registration Process

  1. Visit the Portal: Go to the – https://certifications.nism.ac.in and click on “Register”.
  2. Create Account: Enter your email address and set a password. You will receive an activation link via email; click it to activate your account.
  3. Fill Personal Info: Upload your photo and PAN card. Enter your name (as per PAN), date of birth, and gender.
  4. Contact & Education: Provide your full address and verify your mobile number via OTP. Enter your highest educational qualification (e.g., Graduate, 12th).
  5. Submit for Approval: Once submitted, NISM usually takes 2–3 business days to approve your profile.

3. Enroll for the Examination

After your account is approved, log in to book your slot:

Select Exam: Navigate to “Enrolment” -> “Enrol for Examination” and choose “NISM-Series-V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Examination”.

  1. Choose Slot: Select your preferred city, test centre, date, and time slot.
  2. Payment: Pay the exam fee of ₹1,500 online using a credit/debit card or net banking.
  3. Admit Card: Download your admit card from the “My Enrolments” section. You must carry a printed copy and your original PAN card to the test centre.

Chapter-wise videos have already been created and uploaded on the Mutual Globe YouTube channel. Learners should first watch these videos carefully to build their conceptual understanding.

After completing the video lessons, they can return to this section of the website and strengthen their preparation by attempting around 500 chapter-wise questions spread across all 12 chapters.

Once the chapter-wise practice is completed, learners can test their understanding further through revision mock tests. After that, they can move on to the final 5 full-length mock tests, with 100 questions each, prepared strictly in line with the final examination format.

This step-by-step learning structure is designed to help aspirants move from understanding, to practice, to self-assessment, and finally to exam readiness.

After clearing your NISM Series V-A exam, you can apply for your AMFI Registration Number (ARN) online.

1. Prerequisites & Fees

Before you begin, ensure you have your NISM Series V-A certificate.

  • Registration Fee: ₹3,000 + 18% GST (Total: ₹3,540) for individual distributors.
  • Validity: The ARN is valid for 3 years.

2. Required Documents

Keep scanned copies (JPEG or PDF) of these documents ready:

  • PAN Card and Aadhaar Card.
  • Bank Proof: A cancelled cheque or bank statement with your name clearly printed.
  • Photograph: A passport-size digital photo.
  • Signature: A scan of your signature on plain white paper.

3. Application Steps

  1. Access the Portal: Visit the AMFI Online Registration portal managed by CAMS- https://amfi.camsonline.com/amfi-online/sessions/login
  2. Register: Select “Register on AMFI” and choose the application type as “ARN”. Select “Individual” as your category.
  3. eKYC Process: Complete your KYC using Aadhaar authentication. You can link your DigiLocker account to pull documents like your PAN and Aadhaar automatically.
  4. Enter Details: Provide your personal information, FATCA details (income, place of birth), and educational qualifications.
  5. Payment: Pay the fee online via UPI, net banking, or credit/debit card.
  6. Processing: Once submitted, it typically takes 3 business days to process.

Enrolling for an Employee Unique Identification Number (EUIN) is mandatory for any individual—including employees and relationship managers—who interacts with or advises investors on mutual fund products.

1. Who Needs to Apply?

  • Corporate Employees: Employees of banks or corporate distributors must apply separately through the AMFI Online Portal.
  • Individual Distributors: If you are an individual distributor (IFA), your EUIN is automatically allotted with your ARN at no additional charge.

2. Prerequisites for Employees

Before applying, ensure you have:

  • NISM Certification: You must have already cleared the NISM Series V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Exam.
  • Documents: Scanned copies of your PAN Card, Aadhaar, a passport-size photo, and your copy of online signature.
  • KYC: You must have completed your KYD (Know Your Distributor) or eKYC via Aadhaar.

3. Online Application Steps

  1. Visit the Portal: Go to the CAMS AMFI – https://amfi.camsonline.com/amfi-online/sessions/login

  1. Register/Login: Click on “Online Registration & Renewal of ARN & EUIN”. If you are a new applicant, create an account using your PAN and email.
  2. Fill Application: Choose “EUIN” as the application type. Enter your personal, contact, and NISM certificate details.
  3. Upload Documents: Upload the required soft copies (PAN, photo, signature).
  4. Payment: Pay the registration fee of ₹1,500 + GST online.
  5. Employer Mapping: After payment, your employer (the corporate distributor) must log in to the portal to authorize and map your EUIN to their ARN.

Before you start filling out the form keep the following documents handy –

1. After you have cleared NISM-Series-V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Examination, you are eligible to obtain EUIN.

2. EUIN is for the employees of a Mutual Fund Distributor who wish to interact with investors regarding purchase and sale of mutual fund products.

a. GST Certificate of your Employer

b. NISM Passing Certificate or CPE Certificate if you have attended a CPE training

c. Proof of Residential Address

3. The fees of EUIN is paid through Demand Draft (DD). Hence, you should have that made as well.

7. Please make a Demand Draft of this amount.

8. This Demand Draft (DD) needs to be made in the favor of ‘Association of Mutual Funds In India’.

9. The DD will be payable at the place of CAMS Center at which form is submitted, which means if you submit the form in Mumbai then DD should also be payable at Mumbai. However if you submit form at Noida then Demand Draft will be payable at Noida

10. Now that you have all these documents, you can now apply for EUIN.

11. To do that go to amfiindia.com.

12. Go to the Distributor corner

13. And then click on “Become a Mutual Fund Distributor” section.

14. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will see links of various Registration Forms.

15. Click on “Employee” and download the form that opens.

16. Fill the form in BLOCK LETTERS

17. First, fill your personal details.

18. Enter the details about your employment like the name of your organisation, your organistion’s ARN, date of your appointment, etc.

19. Enter your NISM certificate number And NISM date.

20. However, if you have attended CPE training then enter your CPE certificate number and CPE passing date.

21. Enter your office address, residential address and qualification details.

22. Enter the payment details

23. Sign the form.

24. Fill the details of the Authorised Signatory of your organisation and get it attested by him/ her.

25. Submit the form in your nearest CAMS center, along with the following documents –

1. Demand Draft 2. Two Passport Size Colour Photographs (one pasted on the form an the other enclosed with the form), 3. PAN Card Copy, 4. GST Certificate Copy of your Employer, 5. Certified Copy of NISM Passing Certificate or CPE Certificate 6. Proof of Residential Address

26. To find out the address of your nearest CAMS center , go to the section of “PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING REGISTRATION”, scroll down to “Click here to get the list of CAMS-POS” and click on “Click Here”

27. A new page will open which shows the locations of CAMS offices in Alphabetical order

28. Go to “City” and click on “All” , you will see Alphabets. Click on Alphabets with which the name of your city starts. If you reside in Mumbai, click on “M”. Once you click on “M”, you will see a list of cities by that letter. Scroll down to Mumbai and find out the address of the CAMS Center. Go to the CAMS center and submit your form.

29. If all the details and documents are found in order then the EUIN card shall be mailed to the applicant’s office address.

Step 1: Registration:-

  • Start by visiting the MF Central website or downloading our mobile app.
  • Click on the “Register” button to create a new account.
  • Provide the required information, including your name, email address, and password.

Follow the verification process to activate your account with 5 security questions

After submitting the above two factor authentication you will get the activation email from MfCentral, once you received that email and click on activation link, your MFCentral account will be activated.

Step 2: Account Setup

Once your account is active, log in using your credentials.

Complete your profile by entering personal details, such as your contact information and investor preferences.

Default Set up security measures, such as two-factor authentication, for added account protection.

After login check your unregistered folios :-

Portfolio Management:- Access your portfolio by clicking on the “My Portfolio” or “View Investments” section.

Track the performance of your invested funds, view asset allocation, and monitor gains/losses.

Explore the portfolio analysis tools to gain insights into your investments and make informed decisions.

Transaction Management: Manage your transactions by visiting the “Transactions” or “My Orders” section.

Sell or redeem your investments, switch between funds, or set up systematic investment plans (SIPs).

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the desired transaction.

Service Request :- Using this tab you can add or modify the following details.

KYC Registration Process (Quick Steps)

Important: – For online KYC make sure your Mobile number must be linked with Aadhaar

  • You will receive 2 OTPs: 1. Digi Locker login 2. Aadhaar e-sign

 

Step 1: Keep Documents Ready

  • Aadhaar Number, Digi Locker Login  & Details Signature (photo or upload)

Step 2: Visit Website

  • Go to 👉 Bandhan Mutual Fund website or any mutual fund

Click on Login – Enter your PAN Number

Step 3: KYC Status Check

  • System checks your existing KYC status. If not done → redirects to KYC registration journey

Step 4: Fill Basic Details

  • Enter: Personal Information, Identity Proof Details, Other required details

Step 5: DigiLocker Verification

  • Login to DigiLocker using: Aadhaar Number + OTP OR Security PIN
  • If PIN forgotten → reset using DOB

Click Allow to share documents

 Step 6: Verify Details: Review auto-fetched details and Proceed to E-sign

Step 7: Upload Signature Option 1: Draw signature on screen or Option 2: Upload scanned signature

Step 8: Aadhaar E-Sign

  • Enter Aadhaar Number —Receive OTP on registered mobile —Enter OTP to complete e-sign

Step 9: Completion

  • KYC process submitted
  • Status becomes “Under Process”
  • Redirected back to website
