“Best Funds” section of Mutual Globe helps the investors to find out best mutual fund schemes.

It is an in house research based analysis model containing step wise progression to find out the scheme performance on all relevant parameters.

Investors can select an asset class followed by scheme category, AMC and Ranking. Finally by clicking on ‘Apply’ button, the investors would get all the relevant results with different features like scheme wise Returns for different time horizons, ranking status, risk measures like alpha, beta and SD, PE PB ratios, Paper quality, Sharpe and Sortino and other miscellaneous information.

Given below is the methodology as to how each tab under “Best Fund” of Mutual Globe works to the advantage of the investor.

Select Asset -> Category -> AMC -> Ranking-> and then click on Apply button.

  1. Select ASSET – You can select the required asset class (be it  Equity, Debt, Gold, Hybrid or All asset) by clicking on it and move ahead to choose the scheme category field.
  2. Select CATEGORY – After selecting ASSET, you can choose CATEGORY of the Asset.
  3. Select AMC – Now select AMC name from drop down menu corresponding to “AMC” button. As many AMCs as desired could be selected or “All” AMCs could also be selected.
  4. Select RANKING – Schemes having different “RANKING” status like five star ranking, four star ranking etc can be chosen from ranking menu. These Rankings are based on the in house research.
  5. Click APPLY – By clicking on the “APPLY” button, you  get the results on the screen as per the filters.

Based on the filters applied, the results are shown  under various tabs as detailed below :

  1. Snapshot – “SNAPSHOT” tab shows  1 year,  3 years and 5 years returns, ranking, category and suitable investment duration of the schemes . Snapshot page appears  by default so that you get most sought after information instantly.
  2. Return short term – “RETURN SHORT TERM” tab shows the return of the fund schemes for short term like 1 week, 1 month and 3 months.
  3. Return medium term – “RETURN MEDIUM TERM” tab shows the return of the funds for medium term like 6 months, 1 year and 3 years.
  4. Return long term – “RETURN LONG TERM” tab shows the return of the funds for long term like 5 years, 10 years and from the date of launch of the fund.
  5. PE and PB Ratio – “PE and PB RATIO” tab shows Price to Earnings Ratio & Price to Book Value Ratio of the schemes.
  6. Asset Allocation – “ASSET ALLOCATION” tab shows equity , cash, gold and debt securities of the schemes with  details of  credit rating  of debt  securities like AAA, AA, A and below.
  7. Duration and YTM – “DURATION AND YTM” tab shows the investment duration, average maturity and yield to maturity of debt securities of the schemes.
  8. ALPHA, BETA and SD – “ALPHA, BETA and SD” tab shows the risk measures and standard deviation of the schemes.
  9. SHARPE and SORTINO – “SHARPE and SORTINO” tab shows the risk adjusted return and variation of SHARPE ratio.
  10. Miscellaneous – “MISCELLANEOUS” tab shows other information about the schemes like the Fund manager’s name, net asset and expense ratio of the  schemes.

Show – “SHOW” drop box manages the number of entries to be shown on a single screen like 10, 25, 50 or 100 entries.

Demo Example:

Presuming  you want to select best scheme to invest in asset class “Debt” under “Corporate bond” category of all asset management companies.

You have to follow below steps:

Step 1: Click on “Best Fund” section of the website.

Step 2: Select the “Debt” asset class from asset drop down menu.

Step 3: Select the “Corporate bond” from category drop down menu.

Step 4:  click on “Select All” or select any particular schemes from AMC dropdown menu to see all the schemes offered by all the AMCs or the selected schemes respectively.

Step 5:  Click on “Select All” from ranking dropdown menu to see all the schemes having different star ratings

You will get a screen containing research based analytical detail of selected schemes. Now you can have an analysis of all the schemes on different parameters. Ten schemes will be displayed on one screen. You can increase or decrease this number by clicking the “show entries” button.

By clicking on “Snap Shot” button you will get information about scheme name, its category, recommended investment duration, ranking status and returns of last 1,3 & 5 years.

Further you can click “return short term” button to know the scheme returns for 1 week,1 month and 3 month duration.

Similarly, you can go on to click on other relevant buttons to have an outlook & scrutiny of all parameters of the  schemes shortlisted by you .

This will help you in making sound investment decision.

“Investment X-Ray” section of Mutual Globe gives you  detailed analysis of the mutual fund schemes where you have already invested or wish to invest. You can select  schemes of your choice on the basis of  asset class, AMC, category, scheme and  investment amount . You should add scheme one by one.  Once you have added all schemes , you would get a comprehensive analysis of selected schemes on various important parameters.

Moreover, this section also provides you the pie-charts relating to Asset allocation, Category allocation and Fund allocation for a better visual presentation and easy understanding.

It is an in house research based analysis model containing step wise progression to find out the most suitable scheme on all relevant parameters.  Investor can select investment duration of their choice, ranking, asset class followed by scheme category, and AMC. Just by one click on ‘Apply’ button, the investor can get all the relevant results with different features like scheme wise Returns for different time horizons, ranking status, risk measures like alpha, beta and SD, PE & PB ratios, Paper quality, Sharpe and Sortino and other miscellaneous information.  Minimum investment duration for Equity Funds has been presumed to be three years.
